Ice Cream 11.4.23

This storyteller drew an ice cream cone, which may be from Brooms Bloom, next to the vendor stand that she works at, Andy’s Eggs. Mike picked up my egg delivery today, a flat of 2.5 dozen eggs. “I’m the reason that her egg order doubled,” he joked. He’s right. This storyteller's partner is also Filipino. I saw her in the photographs that Mike took from the Barangay Baltimore kamayan feast. It was one of those “Smalltimore” moments: “I buy our eggs from her!” She’s going to see “Here Lies Love” in NYC in December, which Mike and I saw in September, and I’m excited to talk with her about it.
