NPR Lettuce 8.5.23

This young storyteller and her mom were sporting all the NPR swag. The young storyteller wore an NPR T-shirt, and as she was halfway through drawing her lettuce, I noticed her mom wearing WYPR sunglasses. She came back later that morning to show me her NPR tote bag. She works in development at NPR. “I’m the one people like the least. I do the donation drives.” She started volunteering at NPR after years of working for for-profit companies. She was eager to get into the non-profit world. It’s the best job she has ever had.
