Peace 10.7.23

This storyteller made a peace symbol in honor of the the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that had escalated the night before in the Gaza Strip. News of the attack by Hamas was just getting to us this morning. I saw him again at the end of the market, and he talked with me for more than 30 minutes. I was glad he came at the end of the market so that I could give him my full attention. A lot of the particulars of what he said were more complicated than I could understand at the time, but the sense I got was that he just wanted to talk with someone.
